Adam Morrison Goes Off Against da Bulls

The monitoring of Adam Morrison will continue unless it gets too painful.

"Morrison gets his touch back
Rookie bounces back from 3-for-14 night with a 29-point performance

ORLANDO, Fla. - Upon further review, Adam Morrison can shoot.

A 3-of-14 night against the Miami Heat on Monday night suggested otherwise. Then Morrison, the Charlotte Bobcats' prized rookie, went off in the first half against the Chicago Bulls, with 25 points. He finished with 29 in an 88-87 victory Tuesday.

Consider the efficiency of that performance: In 16 1/2 first-half minutes, Morrison manufactured 25 points from 11 field-goal attempts. He was 8-of-11 from the field, 2-of-2 from 3-point range and 7-of-8 from the foul line.

Yet it was his variety that was most impressive.

Long jumpers from the left corner, post-up moves, stutter steps in the lane. Then, with 2.2 seconds left in the first half, he faked left, faked right and swished from just outside the 3-point line for a 49-36 margin."

Roy and Morrison could have been great together. It wasn't one or the other. It could have and should have been both. As dazzling as Roy has been on the court I really like his presence in interviews. This was a great move for the Blazers.
