The Portland Freelancer Is Linked From "Crooks and Liars"

My humble blog made it to the big time today - linked on the Crooks and Liars site, complete with a Money Quote. Welcome all visitors. May your journey through cyberspace be glitch free. The struggle against the forces of darkness goes on, if you can call typing in my basement a struggle. "Stand up and fight!" sounds more dramatic than "Sit down and type!" but we're all doing what we can. (Unless it's too much hassle.) All hail cyberspace! The Internet is a marvelous thing, and I declare today "Crooks and Liars" Day! The Portland Freelancer has spoken.

Way to go Bill. Your thoughtful comments deserve wide circulation.

I'm curious what prompted the seemingly out of the blue linkage from Crooks and Liars? And more about the Money Quote?

Thanks, and keep up the great work.

"Fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here" GWB

Not to be missed:
Frank Rich's commentary in today's TIMES. He sounds the alarm about the volume of recent intelligence, exactly like what the Bush administration ignored prior to 9/11, indicating that another attack on OUR soil may be immient.

It's tragic that that's probably what it's gonna take to get the last 25% of Americas to understand that Bush's Iraq fiasco represents this country's biggest foreign policy blunder EVER.

See the post about self promotion below, and it should become clear to you. It's called "The Fine Art of Getting Credit."
Not that I haven't had a link out of the blue before, like one time with the Denver Post, but I sometimes send these out. I've even sent them to newspaper columnists who I think could be doing better with their position in society.
The money quote is just the last paragraph of the post.
