Duke Loses to Florida State 79-74.

JJ Redick had 30 but it wasn’t enough as Florida State beat Duke in Tallahassee. The students stormed the floor with 1.7 seconds left causing Duke to get 2 technicals, but it wasn’t a factor. There was another dangerous high-energy crowd scene at the end, that looked like the Seminoles had won the NCAA title.
As far as Duke, I think they needed this loss. JJ Redick has been emotionally spent. Lately he only gets it going in the second half. They’ve been playing like zombies with no joy. It’s March: time to get your head in the game.
I think a dream game would be Duke against UConn. UConn’s center has the great name of Hilton Armstrong and he’s a shot-blocking machine. I’m always amused watching a guard sneak into the lair of a great shot-blocker. You see them coil and wait, and then it’s, “Wham! Get that out of here.”
I’ve got nothing for the NBA this year, but college hoops is going to be awesome, baby! (Add your Dick Vitale impression now.)
