City Council Doing Too Much for Developers? The Proof

Portland's citizens have long suspected our local politicians were helping private developers way too much. Finally we have the proof. It didn't figure that in a red-hot condo market, the city should have to give in and help pay for these big new buildings with ridiculous tax breaks. It just seemed suspicious. Why can't these rich developers take care of their own buildings? This recent picture obtained by the Portland Freelancer of a new condo tower in the South Waterfront district, shows that the problem is even worse than we thought.
