UFO Sighting Over O'Hare
This is my pet subject and I love these stories. I check the latest UFO incident reports every couple of days and there are usually several good ones each week.
Go to a site called UFO Casebook if you want to join in the excitement.

Thread hi-jack alert: Bill, you sports moment of the year pick was....ahem....PATHETIC. Yours is a local, although very good one, blog. There was no sports story Nationally that even dented the local and national significance of the Oregon State Beavers winning the National Championship in baseball - a feet not accomplished by a 'Northern' team is over 30 years. And the way they did it - gutting out six straight elmination games - is without precident. Go Beavs!!!!!
It's the New Year and I'm already behind. You're right but at least I had the class to watch.
However, I am truly shocked and dismayed at you, Butch, for failing to bring up the Beavers defeat of USC in football as another candidate, albeit marred by UCLA doing the same thing.
Also remember that I am a conspiracy nut, so there's a chance that I deliberately did this, knowing it would draw you out. Why? Because it had been too long between your comments and I was getting concerned.
I am a UFO agnostic but I heard this story on NPR last night and what I thought particularly interesting was what was mentioned when the object took off through the cloud cover and left a hole in the cloud cover. That it was also seen by several people in different areas of the airport. Odd though that not a single person had a cell phone on him and took a picture though.
The USC win was big - huge even, and I was there - but no bigger in my Beaver eyes than the win over UO. The baseball victory was one for the ages.
You want one for the ages----Boise State over Oklahoma.
There's a great interview with the Tribune reporter on NPR.com:

Let's see now... one of the busiest airports in the world, daylight hours, high security area, thousands of tourists with cameras, plus cell phones with cameras... and not one picture of the event.
While I really, really want to find evidence that UFOs are spacecraft from another solar system, the fact that there has never, ever been any proof that "they're here" sort of stops any discussion cold. And before the really radical pro-UFOers pounce, if there was any proof, we wouldn't be having discussions, would be?
I'm betting it's Cheney's black ops vacuuming up the last evidences of his mailing Anthrax to the two senators who were about to quash the Patriot Act.
That no one managed to take a picture now days with a digital camera in almost every cell phone (though I am sure not every one who has the technology knows how to use it). The hole though punched in the clouds as it flew away, I don't think I've ever heard that one before, it sounds so 'looney toon', yet it's an odd little detail that I believe more then one person described. Probably not a space ship from another world but something really weird happened I believe that much.
The detail about the lack of a picture on this one is significant as to which category it goes in, but there are plenty with witnesses this good where there are also pictures and radar readings, so using that as a way to dismiss the overall topic isn't going to work. If you are not impressed with the available evidence it could be that you never really researched it. I believe it speaks more to a human desire not to go there.
I will say these witnesses sure don't strike me as the hoax-prank type.
