Morrison Responds With Quiet 34

It looked like Adam Morrison was being way to selfless, not forcing anything against Stanford. Frankly, I thought Dicky V and the gang would be a little disappointed. After all they didn’t travel all the way to Spokane to watch the player of the year candidate hold back. But when crunch time came Adam said enough and scored 11 straight including some Larry Bird-style daggers. By the end Dicky V. was raving like a maniac about what he had just seen. Stanford lost 80-76. Maybe ESPN will show more Gonzaga now so the #5 team in the country can get some East Coast love.
No word on how the National Anthem went for my old band-mate Charlie but I’m sure the high-energy student maniacs at the Kennel in Spokane reacted much better than our old audiences did. Just a wild guess.
Postscript: Charlie just called and said he rocked the house. He plays a very soulful sax but the incredible thing is that he has his own sound. There are so many regulation great sax players but Charlie stands out. Someone told him later that the kids in the student section were actually doing the two-armed "We're not worthy" salute while he played. Proud times, indeed.
