Bizarre Story Keeps Going

At this point everything in the Foley case has taken on a surreal wackiness. Look at the message buried in the little headlines on top of the Drudge Report tonight:
"Foley Says He Was Abused by a Clergyman...
Some Question Alcoholism Claim..."
Do you get the sad humor in that? First, I've never seen a case where a person says he or she is a drunk and people don't believe the claim. It's almost always the drunk who is the last to admit it, while his or her friends and family are begging the drinker to get past the weird alcoholic denial. I know this is a different situation - I'm just saying it's rare for starters. So you contrast that with a society that is so used to clergy stories of abusing youngsters that when they hear allegations like that, they nod their collective heads without question. It's like they're saying, "The clergy part - I accept that - that's what clergy do, but there's no way he drinks too much." Strange.

The Democrats should respond with something along the lines of, "See...Republicans are just like the terrorists: now they're blaming everything on the Pope."

I think the best thing the Dems could do is stand back and let the Republicans have the podium for a few days. Just let America alone to ponder what we've got here.

On MSNBC, Joe Scarborough - himself a disgraced former congressman from Florida - said that he's been to many social events with Mark Foley, and had never seen him with a drink in hand, or drunk. Said he talked to lots of folks, and no one can else can remember an incident either.

Also, some clear joke fodder here. Insert Tom Cruise, and throw the switch.

Kari,
So far the Foley matter has paid my heating bill to December.
Thanks for the tip on the Scientology angle. That could get me to the New Year.
By the way, if the Democrats can't take Congress in this atmosphere, it really is one-party rule.

While Foley is your typical dishonest, creepy, lying Republican, his buddy Thomas Reynolds should get equal recognition for actually using children as human shields. Check out his press conference yesterday. Whereas Hastert just ran away, Reynolds hid behind children in the hope reporters wouldn't ask the hard questions. That's just sick. That's just typical of the party pledged to clean up Washington.

Yeah, laurelhurstdad....its just those 'sick' Republicans:

10. Sen. Daniel Inouye. The 82-year-old Hawaii Democrat was accused in the 1990s by numerous women of sexual harassment. Democrats cast doubt on the allegations and the Senate Ethics Committee dropped its investigation.

9. Former Rep. Gus Savage. The Illinois Democrat was accused of fondling a Peace Corps volunteer in 1989 while on a trip to Africa. The House Ethics Committee decided against disciplinary action in 1990.

8. Rep. Barney Frank. The outspoken Massachusetts Democrat hired a male prostitute who ran a prostitution service from Frank’s residence in the 1980s. Only two Democrats in the House of Representatives voted to censure him in 1990.

7. Former Sen. Brock Adams. The late Washington Democrat was forced to stop campaigning after numerous accusations of drugging, assault and rape, the first surfacing in 1988.

6. Former Rep. Fred Richmond. This New York Democrat was arrested in 1978 for soliciting sex from a 16-year-old. He remained in Congress and won re-election—before eventually resigning in 1982 after pleading guilty to tax evasion and drug possession.

5. Former Rep. John Young. The late Texas Democrat increased the salary of a staffer after she gave in to his sexual advances. The congressman won re-election in 1976 but lost two years later.

4. Former Rep. Wayne Hays. The late Ohio Democrat hired an unqualified secretary reportedly for sexual acts. Although he resigned from Congress, the Democratic House leadership stalled in removing him from the Administration Committee in 1976.

3. Former Rep. Gerry Studds. He was censured for sexual relationship with underage male page in 1983. Massachusetts voters returned him to office for six more terms.

2. Former Rep. Mel Reynolds. The Illinois Democrat was convicted of 12 counts of sexual assault with a 16-year-old. President Bill Clinton pardoned him before leaving office.

1. Sen. Teddy Kennedy. The liberal Massachusetts senator testified in defense of nephew accused of rape, invoking his family history to win over the jury in 1991.

It was the Republican Party who seized on these Christian religious family values to get elected so it's a little more galling when they get caught. They're the ones playing the moral clarity card.
Meanwhile you have Rush and the drugs, Bill Bennett with the gambling, and Bill O'Reilly and his phone sex harrassment charge with a co-worker. It's one thing when everyone knows you're a hound dog like Bill Clinton, but it's a little tougher to take from the author of "The Book of Virtues".
Now instead of saying, "This is unacceptable" I'm hearing, "Okay, we're perverts but so are you." That's a big step down from the moral highground Republicans pretended they were on to trick the religious right into supporting them.

Runnin Scared

And have you noticed that none of the Republicans - local, state, whatever - is running as, well, a "Republican."

Hmmm, what does that tell ya..........

You get it, Bill, but you don't get with it. Gay Offender Pedophile GOP politics voters never seized no high ground, nevermind won any elections with it. Those perverts are not any elected or represented majority of "americans" since -- and you do get this -- their vote totals are fraud and rigged. The. People. DO. NOT. EXIST. For. Those. Ballots.

Saying "you Goons On Powertrips Republicans claimed the moral authority," is talking to a phantasmagoria. THEY. GOP. Voters. DO NOT EXIST. You do get it -- the ballots are fraud, phony, no voters. Now link that in your chains of logic and -- behold! you can walk across it -- the precipice and abyss scaring you is of your own making, in your own mind buying the idea THEY are 'out there' to retaliate -- THEY. GOP. Voters. DO NOT EXIST, the election count is fraudulent, NObody thinks like and believes like Karl Rove suggests that you imagine them Republicans; and when you see there is only your own fear-filled obstacle between where we are standing and the firm ground 'over there,' where there is and we know rule of law, government of the people, the power of right humankind, then THAT is where you can get, that is what you can get with including into your thinking the solid truth -- and you do get this -- the ballots don't belong to no bodies.

One Goon-On-Powertrip-man, one hundred votes. Don't talk Republicans 'you guys' to the votes, Bill, it is One goon.

And Democrats do it too, actually. The image that they don't is another figment floating in your self-identity mind, which truth vaporizes -- that you are 'one of them' and you don't do it so, by transferrence, 'them' don't do it. Truth is: You. ARE. NOT. One. Of. Them.

Because you can't say, 'I'm in Congress,' you can't ignore parking tickets or traffic tickets, you can't have your peeps call an attorney general's office to instigate a harassing investigation of someone, you. don't. have. politician. power. If you did, you too would be corrupted by it; and if you did have absolute power, you too would be corrupted absolutely. BUT, you are NOT 'one of them.' You are NOT a Democrat. You are NOT in the politician's group. You are not a sexual pervert. THEY are. If you WERE to get to be 'one of them,' you could get to be a criminal sex pervert, too.

It is a figment of imagination that you are a Democrat, and you don't violate human rights, so, Democrats don't violate human rights. Not truth.

The TRUE method to get self-governance is to have your contemporaries, everyone alive in your Election District on election day, ELECT You, by acclaim. Don't vote for anyone who buys your vote by 'campaigning' for office. Of course, this means work and time sacrifice for you, to majorly spread the word of who you think to vote for. Gosh, self-effort (instead of throwing money at politics, money you got, time you don't -- because you traded: your life time for envy green-colored paper instead of personal accomplishment), required to get good government representative of our selves. What a concept!

I nominate one of the school janitors (fired out-of-work by Portland Schools) for Congress instead of Blumenauer. Going to Congress is like Jury Duty -- everyone's gotta do it, use your judgment in the seat, and don't take bribes from 'outside' for your vote.

Now, when you see that Democrats also dial in underage Pages, and cash illegal checks, and lust in war crimes to invade and steal oil-resource lands -- and get BLACKMAILED and EXTORTED by other politicians who ALSO are criminals and who know that a majority in Congress are criminals who don't tell on you if you don't tell on them and by majority can stonewall public scrutiny from the enterprise of National Politicians -- THEN you understand why Democrats vote for war and the Patriot Act and wipe their asses with our Constitution and inflict suffering wrongs against our human rights. BECAUSE the criminal Majority in Congress would ream them out if they voted on principle. You thought they held principles when you elected them. Maybe they did, but once 'in the House' they have a dagger against their back and free sex, money, and power intoxication in front of them -- and the criminal coercion touching them is more real than any distant high conceptual principles for living up to.

Votes are real, and made by the reality the voter knows. Coercion, extortion, and criminal corruption makes the real Congress votes.

After you fahgedaboud National Politicians voting from knowing your principles and interests, and see they vote from homicide threats, then you understand these six years of votes that 'don't make sense' to the vast many decent Americans, (subtract the ghosts you see in fraud ballot counts), and, then, with understanding, you know what to do.

Bring forward one of our own, a decent person, to represent our District in Congress. No Democrat. No Goon On Powertrip.

Just us. The greenhorn party.

The Jury Duty party. Just us in Liberty for Justice for all.

DO talk about politics. And DO talk about religion. With everyone you meet. It's just us.
