$2.77 Trillion, But Not A Penny More!
Once again, conservatives have proven it was all just talk: The smaller government, the national security concerns. How can our nation be safer if they're turning our financial well-being over to the government of China?
So forget the sweet talk about individual liberties and competent leadership. It served its purpose getting these clowns "elected." Job #1 was really to gain power over Americans while enriching their little corporate buddies. These people don't govern, they spin. I'm sure a disturbing percentage of this package will end up in the hands of millionaires who don't do the jobs the money was intended for. And the grind on the poor continues, even though these leaders are godly men, and the poor are supposed to be helped. Oh well, you can't take care of the least amongst us, when you're fattening up your base. The conservative movement in America is the biggest con job in modern history.
Bush's $2.77T Budget Boosts Defense

One question: Is this rant an argument for bloggers getting editors, or simply an example of sloppy thinking? Bush, etc., are no more conservatives than...than...you are. He and they are Republicans, and that's hardly the same thing. For a while there, it looked like conservatives — liberty, prudence, restraint, limited government — would find a home in that party, but the lie has been made evident. No, calling Bush a conservative is a neat way to demagogue and slander your political opponents (one might say, betters), but it's patently false. To put it in your terms: Not all Democrats are progressives; nor are all Democratic lawmakers great examples of the highest liberal principles; rather, they and that party, use the rhetoric to win office.
I think the conservative movement got these losers elected. Would you agree with that? I also think that Rush Limbaugh, Lars Larson and David Reinhard consider themselves conservative even though they’re actively carrying water for this group. I also believe historians will look upon this conservative rhetoric that’s been marketed to this country as you say “for a while there” and see it for what it really was: The biggest threat to what America really stands for, that we’ve ever faced. I wish they’d ask this clown Gonzalez why the Founding Fathers even bothered coming up with a Constitution if this administration believes it can do anything it wants.
As for the editor remark, you got me. Some of these posts could use an editor, and I try to fine tune them as the day goes along.
