High Drama In Spokane
Ahh, they’re running down the middle of Sprague Avenue as the Gonzaga Bulldogs won over Loyola Marymount, 68-67, in what should be Adam Morrison’s last home college game. Ironically the nation’s leading scorer was stone cold in the second half, but helped out with a dazzling display of Larry Bird-caliber passing. Down by 15 midway through the second half the Bulldogs charged back, but the game still was very much in doubt as a Loyola player missed a bunny at the buzzer to give Gonzaga the win.
Adam jumped on the scorer’s table and the fans lifted him to their shoulders, but frankly even then he displayed a ferocious personality that I’m not sure I really like. He’s won me over as a NBA-level talent, but he is sort of mean and scary. Some kids aren't mature enough for the pros but youthful innocence is not a big concern for Adam. Indeed, this guy's personality might be too nasty for college. It was a little like watching a pirate among Little Leaguers. Oh well, he’s an incredible concept as a basketball player and the pro scouts must be pinching themselves.
Now let’s see if Gonzaga can make some noise in the tournament.

It's Sprague Ave. Not street.
Thanks, I made the correction. I lived up there for a little while twenty years ago, and I was trying to add some local flavor. I should have gone with Trent.
