Born to Slack Show Backs Down Hollywood
When last we left this controversy the producers of the Academy Awards were begging the “Born to Slack” cable access show to please reschedule our Sunday night, 10 p.m. broadcast seen here in Portland on Channel 22. With our other affiliates they were concerned we could kill their audience numbers when our show started up. We refused on contractual grounds, but showed the professional courtesy of reminding our viewers that our effort is rerun on Tuesday at 10 pm on Channel 23.
Apparently that was not enough, as I now see the Oscars have been moved up to the ridiculously early hour of 5 o’clock on the West Coast. That, my friend, is clout.
It also means loyal fans of the show can watch both. You can catch the pompous phonies babbling on, and you can also watch the Academy Awards.
By the way, I just talked with John Callahan and he said he likes our show. He’s mentioned that before but I never could quite believe it. More on my John Callahan conversations later, including the joke of mine that finally broke through with him.
But for now, sit back. The Oscars and then the Born to Slack show at 10. Watch as we make 28 minutes seem like another 3 hours.

Bill,
28 minutes is not enough. You and James are putting out good information and more people need to know just how fucked up this administration is. For some reason I feel compelled to buy you guys a Beer. Keep up the good work.
