JUST TRYING TO HELP

The Portland Freelancer never rests when it comes to helping the Rose City, and that includes raising some quick governmental cash. The trend these days is to sell names. Who needs a crusty old name like “Civic Stadium”, when we can rename it PGE Park? But I’d like to think the Northwest is subtler than that. We’re not blatant types like back East. Besides we pay PGE so that money was just funneled from the community to the government anyway. We need some outside cash, and we need it now. So picture one elegant billboard, perched high above the city….close your eyes…now open:
