Carl Click - Classic Coincidence

I previously posted about my appearance on AM Northwest, and how Carl Click had shown some real comedy chops. Here's an example: He was doing the KATU newscast at noon, talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers victory celebration and he said he didn’t understand it because, “in the middle of that parade there were 3 penalties on Seattle.” That’s not bad.

Classic Coincidence: I no sooner had written the above post when the phone rings and it’s Carl Click himself. I assumed he had seen my blog and was responding to it, but no, he had gotten such a good response on the set at KATU from that joke - which he adlibbed on the spot by the way - that he was calling to ask me to send it to Jay Leno. Isn't that a kick?
I gave him my standard speech - the same one I give relatives: I am required by my contract only to submit work that is mine. I have to be able to sit in a court of law and answer that question truthfully. Could this happen? Maybe, especially if one of these scripts takes off.
But that doesn’t take away from the classic coincidence of blogging about Carl Click and having him call 5 minutes later. Weird.
