"I'm Tough, I'm Tough, Please Believe Me!"
With the Super Bowl behind us it’s time to return to the national debate.
Yet, I can’t let one image go: The sight of Paul Allen sitting in the stands after losing his chance to be on the victor’s stage. What is it about men of privilege and wealth who try to make up for their own inadequacies by getting others to do things for them? Could that be part of the reason we're in Iraq?
George W. Bush had quite an upbringing watching his war hero-father go from one accomplishment to another. It had to be tough on a kid, especially sharing the same name. The president wanted to show that he was a tough guy, too, only he didn’t want to do any of the actual tough parts himself.
It’s a lot less risky to put on a tuxedo and talk tough before a crowd of supporters in Washington, than to hit the streets of Fallujah. Why strap on a rifle, when you can strap on a cummerbund?
But there’s one problem: President Bush knows deep down inside that it isn’t real. It’s all flightsuit and no action. So what better way to try and prop up the self-image – to try and kid yourself that you are not a macho phony, than to order others into war? It has everything. You get to talk about how difficult a decision it was for you, and how tough it is being a wartime president. Now there’s a phrase! President Bush often repeats it, saying, “I’m a wartime president.” Of course, he avoided the danger of combat, himself, using the connections that a life of privilege affords, but that is besides the point. The point is he's now a powerful guy. If you’re Paul Allen, when you make a decision large people on a football field get hit, and they get hit hard. And when you’re President Bush, and you give orders, damn it, then other people die. Wow, what a couple of tough guys.

George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography
by Webster G. Tarpley & Anton Chaitkin
Chapter VI --Bush in World War II
Bush's campaign literature has always celebrated his alleged exploits as a naval aviator and the Distinguished Flying Cross he received. As we become increasingly familiar with the power of the Brown Brothers, Harriman/Skull and Bones network working for Senator Prescott Bush, we will learn to become increasingly skeptical of such official accolades and of the official accounts on which they are premissed.
...
The San Jacinto reached Pearl harbor on April 20, 1944, and was assigned to Admiral Marc A. Mitscher's Task Force 58/38, a group of fast carriers, on May 2, 1944.
In June Bush's ship joined battle with Japanese forces in the Marianas archpelago. Here Bush flew his first combat missions. On June 17, a loss of oil pressure forced Bush to make an emergency landing at sea. Bush, along with his two crewmembers, gunner Leo Nadeau and radioman-tail gunner John L. Delaney, were picked up by a US destroyer after some hours in the water. Bush's first Avenger, named by him the Barbara, was lost.
...
On September 2, 1944, Bush and three other Avenger pilots, escorted by Hellcat fighter planes, were directed to attack a radio transmitter on Chichi Jima.
...
Bush has presented several differing versions of his own story. In his campaign autobiography published in 1987 Bush gives the following account:
... Suddenly there was a jolt, as if a massive fist had crunched into the belly of the plane. Smoke poured into the cockpit, and I could see flames rippling across the crease of the wing, edging towards the fuel tanks. I stayed with the dive, homed in on the target, unloaded our four 500-pound bombs, and pulled away, heading for the sea. Once over water, I leveled off and told Delaney and White to bail out, turning the plane to starboard to take the slipstream off the door near Delaney's station.
Up to that point, except for the sting of dense smoke blurring my vision, I was in fair shape. But when I went to make my jump, trouble came in pairs. [fn 2]
In this account, there is no more mention of White and Delaney until Bush hit the water and began looking around for them. Bush says that it was only after having been rescued by the USS Finnback, a submarine, that he "learned that neither Jack Delaney nor Ted White had survived. One went down with the plane; the other was seen jumping, but his parachute failed to open."

"That guy is not telling the truth," Mierzejewski said of Bush.
As the rear-looking turret gunner on Commander Melvin's plane, Mierzejewski had the most advantageous position for observing the events in question here.
...
Gunner Lawrence Mueller of Milwaukee, another former member of Bush's squadron who flew on the Chichi Jima mission, when asked who would have had the best view, replied: "The turret gunner of Melvin's plane." Mierzejewksi for his part said that his plane was flying about 100 feet ahead of Bush's plane during the incident - so close that he could see into Bush's cockpit.
Mierzejewki, who is also a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, told the New York Post that he saw "a puff of smoke" come out of Bush's plane and quickly dissipate. He asserted that after that there was no more smoke visible, that Bush's "plane was never on fire" and that "no smoke came out of his cockpit when he opened his canopy to bail out." Mierzejewski stated that only one man ever got out of the Barbara II, and that was Bush himself. "I was hoping I would see some other parachutes. I never did. I saw the plane go down. I knew the guys were still in it. It was a helpless feeling."
Mierzejewski has long been troubled by the notion that Bush's decision to parachute from his damaged aircraft might have cost the lives of Radioman second class John Delaney, a close friend of Mierzejewksy, as well as gunner Lt. Junior Grade William White.

While I welcome a closer look at 9/11, I don't see any value in swift-boating George senior. Especially if it's beyond dispute that he flew planes in WW2.
Well ... there you go again.
I probably hit the punch line before I did the set up. So it sounded like swift-boating and petty.
The setup is too long, that's the temptation to skip it. Like, I have collected GHWB info for ten years at which time USSR collapsed and for fifteen years I have collected GHWB detail. The last five years I am toying with a notion of writing a biography of him. So my sense of him is as one who is writing a book on the subject.
I hardly think of him for this or that day's news - like him parachute jumping on his 80th birthday. When I see some picayune paragraph like that, in my scope is his age, when the last time he jumped, where was Barb at the time, and Jeb and ..., what was the plane, who flew it, where'd he jump, how'd he come in, where's he headed to after this TOO MUCH INFORMATION.
It's okay to call it obsessed with him. If not, I probably wouldn't have written anything. I see it as me being obsessive -- it's not him, it's me. I am obsessed to detail with him and a dozen, a hundred, others. I study the cycles of life, and the older the person the more I can study. A day's activity connects, then, relates to other moments back across the person's entire life, which as a matter of convenience I simply memorize.
Besides what stages a person goes through, thinking of their age, then there are connections to the events of the world besides themself that year. I memorize those.
Okay, that much is sort of a setup for the actual setup -- which is the body of the joke, to start... or, so far I have announced a warm up act is coming next.
So ... skip it. Conclude: GHWB is among the most evil incarnations of a hundred years. It can't be misoverestimated, either the magnitude, depravity, mania, cruelty, immorality, scorched soul, ... evil, in a word. By every exhibit, he is leading candidate for living anti-christ, however you understand that, I know I don't express it exactly. Sort of his better twin separated at birth is Kissinger. Except, GHWB's name is the one on CIA Hdqtr -- he is as much misanthropic as HK, but on top of it he is egomaniac. HK at least does humble to himself.
Junior is only a pastel GHWB, and look how much evil that is. I know I know, sweet cherubic 'poppy' seems so innocuous and unremarkable, maybe a slendor Walter Cronkite or something. Nope, that ascetic mein just comes with the territory.
That man runs the world, and has been for 25 years, and is corrupt ABSOLUTELY; no different from a Chinese emperor in his heyday, except GHWB runs the whole world instead of merely China How many countries of the world and capitals can you name off the top of your head Bill? Well, first, how many are there? See, he knows them all, and the last six leaders in each one, and their UN votes since the UN was founded, and who voted it. It is really not much more than what a mailman knows about all the houses on his route, except the data and experience is world capitals instead of ten block area in southeast pdx.
GHWB inhabits a categorically different body and world from the lives you and I know. Yet not. One of Jughead's military records outed was a discharge paper after he was long gone and it had his address in Cambridge. My jaw hit the floor. It was the apt.building two blocks out my apt.window the same year and I used to walk by it 'every day' on the way to campus. And I remember the 'gang' that was associated with the place, and their cars. One of them probably was Doofus. So I have been in their lives, they take it for granted, I study it. (One Harvard - Yale game day, the old guy in the trenchcoat ahead of me at the Baskin Robbins got his ice cream cone and spun around, and I was face to face with Walter C. himself. He looks different not on TV.)
These people are not people. It is more than cliche -- the rich, they are different from you and I. Like, Gates was there then, too, but he doesn't have 'it', he is not alien, he's only stinking rich. Another glimpse where I saw it: another guy I went to school with was duPont and one time at his parents house for lunch his mom happens to say over the dining table, "yakyak yak...these chairs were in the Coolidge administration ...blah blabla." (Oh, that would mean the one I just spilled my lasagna on.) Not that duPont runs the world, but he did have government contract number one, selling gunpowder to general washington. See, there's something different, it is a different human. No, it's not exactly human.
Somehow in the stingency of the protocols and formalisms and 'traditions,' followed lifelong, the animal and mind is deformed. Or conformed. But it is a different shape, a different substance. I, in turn, am a rarity just percentagewise that I walked among them, and no positive or negative connotations in that, only simply it's a small world and paths cross. I've tried to keep my eyes open along my path, and so many times and places are intense in contrast to my upbringing, characterized as shoveling manure out of barns and coops and spreading it on the soil and planting seeds and harvesting nourishment, and all that goes into that, and is gotten out of that, and these alien mice-humans have no recognition of any of that, and the gulf is unfathomable. I just would stare and study them, detached from life, right in front of my eyes.
Truly GHWB is the most evil dangerous powerful man on the earth -- look, he told his son to take the u.s. army and go invade iraq, and it happened, but you and I don't think about running the world like that, in those twenty-league boots, and he does, and it can be easier to understand that by being around them, but just by me telling you that's what I see maybe something gets across, (hell, what am I saying, you're swimming in Hollywood pools with sharks who know from running the world, I don't envy you the human hideousness in those deals, and I hope we get to see your material, so it's worth it for you to do it).
More than half of dynastic dad's potency is owing to his stage of life. His agonies puts our lives in most extreme peril in these days we are living. The key point I was trying to bring out in the first comment, is to show the scene, shortly after his twentieth birthday, in which he killed a man, and all that that suffuses the soul with, and every one since then has been easier for him until, at his age, he is slaughtering wholesale, remorseless, running the world.
So after that rant comes the following item from Wayne Madsen LINK with one of his usual bombshells. The last paragraph has the buried lede crouched in recognizing 'Switzerland' and 'Geneva' are the same thing.
"February 14, 2006 -- Vice President Dick Cheney will be "formally warned" by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Departmen ...
"Further details are emerging about Cheney's hunting trip. Hunting with Cheney and Whittington at the south Texas ranch of former Republican White House adviser and ambassador to Britain Anne Armstrong, was Pamela Pitzer Willeford, the U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Texas GOP activist, and longtime member of various boards and committees in Texas, including the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, State Preservation Board, Texas Book Fair Committee, and Laura Bush Foundation for America's Libraries Advisory Committee. As reported by WMR on Feb. 10, the CIA, under Porter Goss, has re-established drug money laundering conduits involving Geneva banks. The operations, allegedly overseen by a close relative of Goss, involve laundering cash from CIA heroin smuggling from U.S.-occupied Afghanistan."

At the LINK site, the other reports referenced here are there.
Now hang onto your seat, just for the sake of arguing that every possible story could be considered when we don't know any better, and that one such possibility is that the quail-hunt gun accident was not an accident, maybe more like an assigned mission. For like a henchman. For like someone running the world...
